Mutton curry
Ingredients:
1/2 kg mutton
1/2 cup oil
2 Small Cinnamon sticks
2 cloves
3 cardamoms
2 green chillies
5 sliced onions (medium)
3 chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoonful Ginger and garlic paste
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp fennel powder
1 tsp pepper
1 1/2 tablespoon coriander powder
Curd 2 tbsp
1/4 cup coriander leaves
1/4 cup Coconut paste
1 tbsp cashew nut paste(optional)
2 potatoes (optional)
Salt to taste
Method:
Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cinnamon, clove and cardamoms. Add onions and saute well. Keep medium flame, When onions turns brown add ginger and garlic paste, fry them well, after one min add chillies and tomatoes, mix well them leave for 2 or 3 min. Keep low flame. When the tomatoes turns soft add mutton pieces into it and saute well. Then add chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, pepper powder and fennel powder mix them all masala well, then add half glass of water, keep low flame. Stir well. Then add coriander powder and coriander leaves stir well. Leave 5 min wait for oil separate from masala. Then add 2 glass of water, mix it well. Keep medium flame again. Close the lid and pressure cook the mutton for until it done. After mutton cooked turn off the flame. Release the whistle carefully, let it little cool then open the lid. Add potatoes, coconut paste and cashew paste mix them all and now close the lid. Turn on flame and keep medium flame leave 2 or 3 whistles then turn off the flame. Leave it cool. Now tasty mutton curry is ready. Serve hot rice or parathas.
